KILMARNOCK winger Danny Armstrong has claimed he has been contacted about playing for Ireland.
But the 26-year-old is still hoping to gatecrash Scotland’s Euro 2024 squad.

Armstrong came through the youth system at Hamilton before a switch to Wolves in 2015 but left Molineux three years later.
He has had to climb his way up the ladder in Scotland, lining out for Raith Rovers and Ross County in the second and third tiers.
He moved to Killie in the summer of 2021 and helped them win promotion from the Championship in his first season at Rugby Park.
The wide man has performed well in the top flight, scoring 13 goals and providing 17 assists in 45 outings, prompting suggestions he could force his way into Steve Clarke’s plans for the finals in Germany.
He last played for his country at Under-16 level and is hoping for a senior call-up but revealed that the only recent contact he has had about international football came from the FAI.
Armstrong said: “I haven’t had a conversation with Scotland. I have had a couple from people in the Ireland set-up as I qualify for there too.”
He would not be the first Scot to line out for Ireland with Ray Houghton, Aiden McGeady, James McCarthy and, currently, Mikey Johnston pulling on the green shirt.
