Bleyendaal is currently attack coach for Super Rugby side Hurricanes.
The New Zealand native played for Canterbury and Crusaders before joining Munster in 2015.
He was being eyed up as a potential Ireland international Joe Schmidt but his career was stalled and eventually ended by a neck injury which saw him retire in 2020.
He joined his former Munster team-mate Jason Holland’s staff at the Hurricanes later this year and was also a coach with Tonga at last year’s Rugby World Cup in which they lost 59-16 to Ireland.
